how being cheeky landed me at Feral

Turns out being cheeky with two strangers at a charity event is a valid career move. who knew.

I was being very chatty towards two guys I'd never met before. That's how all of this started.

The event was to raise money for people with cancer. I offered to take the photos, camera in hand like always, and it just so happened Devin and Raul had their artists blurred movement and Torsten on the lineup that night. So we got talking. Mostly because I couldn't help myself.

from cheeky to inseparable

A couple of months later our paths crossed again at their event. Back then it was still called Hintergarden. It now goes by BaseYRD, which I'm involved with too.

After that night I don't really remember doing anything without them. Raul and Devin are my rock in this industry.

Quick intro, since I dropped you straight in the deep end. I'm Isa, 23, just graduated as an event manager. I've done quite a lot in events already, I started out as a photographer, then became a student, did an internship at Falsive and another at Nachtwacht. Devin and Raul I met in my very last year of school.

So who are they. Together with Matthew and Harry they now run Feral agency. That's why they keep showing up in my story lol.

the deep end

We share an office in the Netherlands where we don't just run part of Feral Agency, but also Feral presents, clear agency, BaseYRD, and when I get a spare minute, some work for my own thing, Source agency. This all might seem like a lot. It is. It is genuinely a lot.

Matthew and Harry also run Feral Clothing together with Andie. Combined with the events, everything comes together around one shared vision: creating the kind of rave we all want to experience ourselves. With countless hours spent on dancefloors, we've developed a strong understanding of what makes a rave truly special, and we're bringing that feeling into everything we do.

The first few weeks were intense, I can tell you. The whole merge of the company together with new people, new thoughts, new goals, bigger numbers, and most of all a room full of very driven people. It overwhelmed me af first.

Then you clock that all of them are also really nice, understanding and grounded. Andie is helping me a lot, any questions I have, I just know were to find her, it's nice to have a girl by your side who gets it.

what's next

Right now we're doing all the preps for the Norway show. Testpress, Pawlowski, Dark Matter, Luciid, Foss, Linds and many more on the bill. It's promised to be a great party.

Unlucky me, I can't be there for that one. I think I have to get used to not always being in the room, the schedules, the travels, all the things that need doing for the artists too, time wise it's just not always possible.

But I'm coming along with the whole team to Nibirii. So we might meet there? ;)
